Mikoud was one of two Black Knights to compete in field events on Saturday afternoon, as Bonvie Fosam was among the field in the triple jump. Fosam finished with a final mark of 12.11m, good for 41st.
Helen Shearer and Georgia Jones combined to close things out for Army, doing so in the 3000m steeplechase and the 5000m. Shearer ran 10:36.47 in the steeplechase to finish 36th, while Jones placed 38th with a final time of 17:03.12.
Saturday's action closed out an overall successful weekend for the team at the NCAA East Prelim, which was highlighted by August Cook qualifying for the NCAA Championship for the third time in his career (javelin). Overall, the Black Knights had 17 different cadets compete at the event.
The NCAA Championships are scheduled for June 9-12 and will be hosted by the University of Oregon at its home facility in Eugene. Further details regarding the meet will be announced as they are finalized.
