Black Knights Ranked No. 13 In Nike/USA Lacrosse Men's Preseason Poll

SPARKS, Md. – The Army Black Knights are ranked No. 13 in the Nike/USA Lacrosse Division I Men's Preseason Top 20 Poll, a ranking compiled by USA Lacrosse Magazine staff in consultation with college coaches, announced on Monday.
The Black Knights return a veteran squad for the 2022 season highlighted by the senior class consisting of 2022 USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason All-Americans Marcus Hudgins (first team) and Brendan Nichtern (third team), along with attacker Aidan Byrnes, midfielders Bobby Abshire, Danny Kielbasa, and Gunner Philipp, and goalie Wyatt Schupler.
Last season, the Black Knights advanced to the Patriot League Semifinals by winning the North Division Title. The Black Knights were ranked as high as seventh in the nation in the polls during the 2021 season and finished the year as the fifth-ranked defense in the country, allowing 9.27 goals per game.
Army's 14-game 2022 schedule features four opponents who played in the 2021 NCAA Tournament and five teams who are ranked in the 2022 USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason Poll. The Black Knights open the season at Michie Stadium on February 12.
Season and individual game tickets are on sale now. Season tickets are $25 and the youth/senior rate is $20.
