Army Finishes Tied for 9th at Hoakalei Invite

Ewa Gentry, Hawai'I - The Army West Point golf team finished the fall portion of their schedule for this season at the Hoakalei Invitational and placed ninth on the team leaderboard

The Black Knights ended the two-day event with a team score of 888 (+24) after posting a 9-over round as a team on Tuesday. The University of San Diego won the title thanks to a 7-under score over the 54 holes.

TOURNAMENT NOTES

Dragon Theam was Army's top finisher as he was tied for 18th on the player leaderboard at 4-over for the tournament.
He shot a 3-over 75 on the final day.
Team captain Tom Katsenes shot an even par 72 on Tuesday to jump up 11 spots on the leaderboard to finish in a tie for 29th and ended at 6-over for the invite.
He tallied four birdies and four bogeys on his final day and earned the 72 with two birdies in his final three holes.
Joshua Kim had a great round on the final day, shooting even par and he posted three birdies in his first nine holes.
Kim jumped up nine spots on the leaderboard to finish in a tie for 42nd.
