Black Knights Set to Host The Citadel Saturday

SETTING THE SCENE
• The Black Knights look to keep up the winning ways at Michie Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 10 when they host The Citadel at 1:30 p.m. ET. The game will be telecast nationally on CBS Sports Network. Ben Holden will handle the play-by-play duties, the color analyst is Ross Tucker and the sideline reporter is Tina Cervasio.
• The game can be heard on the radio, both on the flagship stations WBNR and WLNA, Sirius 134, XM 202 and streamed through the TuneIn app on the Army Black Knights Radio.
FACING THE BULLDOGS
•The Black Knights and the Bulldogs have met nine times previously on the gridiron. The Black Knights are 7-2 all-time against the Bulldogs and bring a one-game winning streak into Saturday's matchup after a 25-24 victory on Oct. 22, 1994.
• All nine previous matchups took place at Michie Stadium with the first in 1934.
• The Black Knights are 10-2 against FCS opponents under seventh-year head coach Jeff Monken and have won the last nine-straight.
700 WINS
•Saturday's 55-23 victory over ACU was the 700th in the program.
•The last 50 wins (650 to 700) took just the better part of nine seasons (Sept. 17, 2011 to Oct. 3, 2020). The previous 50 wins (600 to 650) took 15 seasons (Sept. 28, 1996 to Sept. 17, 2011).
GETTING ON THE BOARD EARLY
• Dating back to last season against Hawai'i, Army has scored first in six consecutive games.
• The Black Knights have scored a touchdown on their first offensive drive three times this season.
• On Saturday vs. ACU, the Black Knights were 6-for-6 on red zone trips with four touchdowns. Coming into the day just had six red zone touchdowns.
RUSHING GAME WORKING
• Army had two 100-yard rushers in QB Jemel Jones and RB Tyrell Robinson, marking the first time since
Oct. 14, 2017 that the Cadets had multiple 100-yard rushers when Ahmad Bradshaw and Kell Walker did so.
• QB Jemel Jones eclipsed the 100-yard rushing mark, finishing the day with 138 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 14 attempts, the first of his career.
•He became the ninth quarterback to record a 100-yard rushing game in the Jeff Monken era, joining Christian Anderson, Jabari Laws, Kelvin Hopkins, Cam Thomas, Ahmad Brad- shaw, AJ Schurr, Chris Carter and Angel Santiago.
• RB Tyrell Robinson became just the 15th player in program history have a 100-yard game with seven or fewer rushing attempts.
• Robinson finished with 126 rushing yards on just seven carries, good for an average of 18 yards per carry, which is the 11th best average in a 100-yard rushing game in program history.
• On the season, Robinson is averaging 12.7 yards per carry with 253 yards on just 20 rushing attempts.
