Men's Tennis Posts Strong Outing Against Coast Guard Academy

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's tennis had a successful day against Coast Guard Academy on Saturday afternoon. The Black Knights and the Bears went head to head in 23 individual matches, with the Black Knights finding victories in majority of the sets.

A.J. Woodman and Thomas Lake both had a strong day for the Black Knights in singles and doubles play, securing a win as the No. 1 doubles team and a singles win in the No. 1 and No. 2 slots.

"We had a great day back into tennis. Our team was so excited to get to play matches again," said head coach Jim Poling. "They played very solid tennis against a good Coast Guard team. Overall the matches went 21-2 for the Black Knights and many were close. We are looking forward to taking on Air Force next weekend. There will be some fired up tennis."
