Football Closes Out Camp with Scrimmage

WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army West Point football team finished fall camp with a scrimmage on Saturday afternoon at Michie Stadium.Â
The scrimmage featured the scout teams against the top offensive and defensive units and came after the Acceptance Day parade at West Point.Â
Highlights from the day were a shot touchdown throw from Kelvin Hopkins Jr. to Camden Harrison inside the red zone. David Cooper put the offensive unit on the board again with a 39-yard field goal and Jabari Laws was able to find paydirt as well. The scout teams held their own during the scrimmage with big stops on defense.Â

The Black Knights broke camp today with the first day of classes coming on Monday as they start the academic year.Â
Army is getting set for the season opener against Rice on Aug. 30 at 6 p.m. on CBS Sports Network. Tickets are still available and can be purchased at goarmywestpoint.com/tickets. Â
