Raftery Receives Academic All-League Praise

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Sophomore Megan Raftery of the Army West Point women's lacrosse team earned Academic All-Patriot League honors on Wednesday morning.
As a Mathematical Sciences major, Raftery holds a 3.881 grade-point average. She becomes the second cadet in program history to be recognized by the league for her academic achievements.
On the field, Raftery has played a pivotal role in the Black Knights' success this season. The Setauket, N.Y., native has appeared in all 18 games, compiling 20 points on 15 goals and five assists. She has also totaled 12 ground balls, five caused turnovers and three draw controls.
Raftery and the Black Knights will be back in action tomorrow night when they take on No. 14 Navy in the semifinals of the Patriot League Tournament in Baltimore.
