Black Knights Rising in National Polls

WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army West Point men's lacrosse team rose to 17th in this week's national rankings after topping service academy rival Navy, 9-8, in overtime on Saturday. The Black Knights climbed three spots in both the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll and U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Coaches Poll.
Army is now 9-3 on the year with two wins against nationally ranked teams. The Black Knights defeated UMass in the season opener before routing Rutgers in more non-conference action. The Cadets are 2-1 against ranked opponents this season and have defeated a team ranked inside the top-10.
Army is set to face eighth-ranked Loyola this weekend on CBS Sports Network at 2:30 p.m.
