Nichtern Tabbed Patriot League Rookie of the Week

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Freshman attacker Brendan Nichtern of the Army West Point men's lacrosse team was tabbed the Patriot League Rookie of the Week, announced by the league on Monday.

It is Nichtern's third Rookie of the Week honor this season.

For the third time this season, the rookie scored the game-winner in a tight contest. Nichtern's four-goal and four-assist performance helped the Black Knights to a 15-13 victory at Bucknell this past weekend.

He tied career-highs this weekend leading the Cadets in goals (4), assists (4) and points (8).

Nichtern boasts an average of 5.6 points per game in Patriot League contests and he leads Army with 44 points this season.

The Black Knights host Boston U. at Michie Stadium on Saturday. The contest will begin at 12 p.m.
