COACH'S CORNER
- Interim head coach Bob Beretta – "We received well pitched games from both Macey (Newbary) and Renee (Poirier) today. I was extremely pleased with both of their efforts. We must find a way to push more runs across. We left seven runners on base in both games and it really hurt us in the second game.
- "We've been in close ball games all season, and the margin separating wins from losses has been razor thin. We need to capitalize on the offensive opportunities we earn. We're a few clutch hits away from having a very different record. We'll keep working hard at it in practice tomorrow and hopefully change the narrative this weekend at Lafayette."
UP NEXT
- The Black Knights continue their seven-game road trip with a weekend series against Patriot League foe Lafayette this weekend.
- Army opens the series with a doubleheader on Saturday with the final game being played on Sunday. First pitch for both days is scheduled for noon.
