Gymnastics Announces 2019 Competition Slate

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Gymnastics head coach Dr. Doug Van Everen has announced the 2019 Army West Point gymnastics schedule which features the 29th Annual West Point Open and the highly anticipated Star Meet versus Navy. Â

Army begins the season by hosting the West Point Open Jan. 11-12, in Christl Arena. The Black Knights continue competition at Penn State the following weekend on the 19th.

The Black Knights continue their road trip with head-to-head contest at Springfield. Army returns home to host the highly anticipated Army-Navy Star competition on Feb. 2. The meet will begin at 1 p.m. from the Lou Gross Center.

The following two weekends will be on the road when the Cadets head to Annapolis, Md., for the All-Academy Championships, and then qualifying individuals to the Winter Cup in Las Vegas, Nev.

The Black Knights host William & Mary before heading out to Colorado Springs, Colo., for a meet against Air Force.

March 9th marks Army's senior day with a contest against Springfield at 1 p.m. The final dual-meet will be held at William & Mary on Mar. 16.

After a slight hiatus, the Cadets return to College Nationals this year which are also held down in Annapolis, Md., as a two-day event.

The ECAC Championships are on Apr. 6 at Springfield, while the NCAA Championships will be held in Champaign, Ill., April 19-20.
