Army Suffers Setback to Boston on the Road

BOSTON, Mass. – The Army West Point men's lacrosse team suffered an 8-7 setback to Boston University on the road Saturday.
The Black Knights took a 7-5 lead through the first three periods, but a 3-0 run by the Terriers forced the deficit.

- Conor Glancy was the Black Knights' top scorer with two goals and two assists.
- One of his goals was on the man-up opportunity.
- Glancy's two helpers came during Army's run to kick off the second half.
- Nate Jones reached the 100-career point milestone with his three-point performance today.
- The junior gained the 100 points off a no-angle top shelf shot and followed that up with another tally and assist in the game.
- Sean O'Brien and Matthew Donovan each added a goal and an assist in the game for the Black Knights.
- Connor DeWitt netted a solo goal for Army.
- AJ Barretto had a standout game with six saves and three groundballs.
- Glancy, John Ragno and Jon LaMonica led the team with five groundballs apiece.
- LaMonica and Jones both recorded two caused turnovers.
- The Black Knights netted their first man-up goal since playing Lehigh on March 10.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Army took a 2-0 lead through the first quarter.
- Glancy notched the first goal of the game on a quick stick after a feed by O'Brien 52 seconds in.
- The Black Knights netted their second with a crease roll and low shot to beat Joe McSorley.
- Jones scored Army's third consecutive goal off a no-angle shot from the left side to mark his 100th-career point.
- Boston went on to score two goals in under a minute to bring it to a one-goal game. The first was on a delayed penalty and the second during a man-up opportunity.
- Army netted a man-up goal of its own with four minutes left in the first half with a goal by Glancy and assist from Donovan.
- The Terriers ended the half with a goal with two seconds remaining to bring the score to 4-3 in favor to Army.
- Glancy connected with Jones on the Cadets' opening possession of the second half to spark a 2-0 run.
- Army went ahead 6-3 after O'Brien scored less than a minute later with the assist also coming from Glancy.
- Boston came back to score two goals to Army's one to keep the game within two heading into the final frame.
- The Black Knights' goal in the stretch came from DeWitt with an assist from Jones.
- Boston went ahead to score three goals in the fourth quarter to win the game.
- The final goal was scored with 29 seconds remaining.

- Army renews its rivalry with Navy next Saturday at Michie Stadium. The game will begin at 12 p.m.
