Army Preps for NJIT, Bryant

WEST POINT, N.Y.- The Army West Point men's tennis team returns home to the Lichtenberg Tennis Center this weekend facing NJIT and Bryant.
Army improved to 3-7 overall this weekend, after defeating Portland State 6-1.

- Seniors Michael Nguyen and Gregory Shannon defeated NJIT's Jan Cimrman and Zac Castagna, 6-3.
- Sopohomore Will Ockerman also earned his first career victory in singles play, defeating George Sirensen.
ABOUT NJIT
- The Highlanders are entering the match with a record of 4-0, with their last four wins coming from their home court.
- They recently defeated Bryant, (Feb. 17) with a score of 4-3.
- Returners Zac Castagna and Aleska Petrovic edged out the bulldogs last weekend to secure the doubles point.
ABOUT BRYANT
- Bryant is looking for their first win since Feb. 16 against St. Francis Brooklyn.
- Junior Matt Kuhar returns as the Bulldogs top single player.
- Kuhar is currently on a eight-match winning streak after a 6-1, 7-6, (7-5) victory against Jan Cimrman.
