Black Knights Set for Trio of Matches

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's tennis team return to the court this weekend as it hosts Fordham, Rhode Island and NJIT at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center.
The Black Knights will face Fordham on Friday at 3 p.m., before turning around for a 9 a.m. matchup against URI on Saturday. Army closes out the weekend versus the Highlanders on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
ARMY (6-4, 0-0 Patriot League)
• The Black Knights enter the weekend on a two-match winning streak after topping St. Bonaventure, 6-0, and Vassar, 7-0, on Saturday.
• Three of Army's six wins this season have been shutouts.
• Rookie Hannah Boubel notched her 20th-career singles victory over St. Bonaventure.
• First-year Sasha Inchauste boasts best singles dual record on the team at 5-2.
• Melanie Allen and Ana Joyner have teamed up to sport Army's best doubles record, both overall (12-8) and in duals (5-3).
FORDHAM (3-1, 0-0 Atlantic 10)
• Army holds a slim 19-18 edge in the all-time series against Fordham.
• The Rams enter the weekend after dropping its first match of the season, 4-3, to St. John's at home on Friday.
• Maia Balce sports a team-best 14-4 record in singles, including a 4-0 mark in duals.
• Gianna Insogna, Estelle Wong and Carina Ma have also reached double-digit singles wins this season.
• Ma and Wong have combined for Fordham's best record in doubles action at 16-3.
RHODE ISLAND (1-5, 0-0 Atlantic 10)
• The Black Knights will meet Rhode Island for the fifth time in program history, holding a 3-1 record in the previous matches.
• The Rams have dropped their first four matches of the spring season, being shut out three times.
• Mihaela Codreanu sports at team-best 7-7 singles record, including a 2-4 mark at the No. 1 position in duals.
• The doubles teams of Ariel Haber and Nicole Legler, as well as Rachel Smilansky and Halan Davis, boast three doubles wins to pace the squad.
NJIT (3-3, 0-0 Atlantic Sun)
• Army leads the all-time series against NJIT, 7-2.
• The Highlanders enter the weekend on a two-match winning streak, while they will face Siena on Saturday prior to their match against the Black Knights.
• Advaita Saravanan leads the team with a 5-1 record in singles, all of which came at the No. 2 position in duals.
• Saravanan and Amanda Helminsky sport a team-best 2-0 doubles record.
