February 12, 2026 | Women's Tennis
LAKE NONA, Fla. – Army West Point women's tennis heads to Florida this weekend for a two-match swing, beginning at the University of Tampa on Friday, before the program's biannual rivalry matchup vs. Air Force on Saturday at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, Fla.
Army stands at 9-2 overall in 2025-26, with nine consecutive wins following a pair of season-opening setbacks at Boston College and at Dartmouth.
The Black Knights have gone 3-0 in three consecutive weekends, most recently taking all three matches against FDU, Monmouth and Fairfield on February 7-8.
Army takes on Air Force Saturday for the first time since the 2023-24 season. In that 4-1 win on February 17, 2024, head coach Paul Peck won his 543rd career match and moved into first place in USMA history in career head coaching wins across any sport.
Current starters Ylan Duong, Emma Sy and Vennmukiil Mathivanan each won singles matches in the 2024 dual win vs. Air Force. The match extended Army's winning streak over the Falcons to two, having also won in 2022.
While Saturday's matchup will serve as the first dual between the academy rivals since 2024, the programs did compete in individual matchups at the Commander-in-Chief's Challenge on October 10-12, held at the Army-Navy Country Club in Arlington, Va.
Looking ahead elsewhere in academy matchups in 2025-26, the Black Knights will travel to Navy on April 4, seeking to retain the women's tennis star in the Star Series presented by USAA.
Next up
Army returns home next weekend, facing Marist at home February 21 and Quinnipiac at home February 22. The Black Knights will also travel to Rutgers on February 21.
