Doo Tabbed Patriot League Swimmer of the Week

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Junior Kevin Doo of the Army West Point men's swimming and diving team was named the Patriot League Swimmer of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.
"Kevin is a great racer and a lot of fun to coach," head coach Mickey Wender said. "I'm always impressed with his work ethic and his commitment to getting better."
Doo was a catalyst in the Black Knights' 176-113 victory over UMass in a road dual last Friday night in Amherst, Mass. The Princeton, N.J., native won the 100 free opposite the Minutemen with a time of 46:35. He also had a second-place showing in the 100 breast once he touched the wall at 57.88.
With the Cadets already securing the win, he posted a time of 48.81 in the 100 fly, shattering the Joseph R. Rogers, Jr. Pool record, while also anchoring the 400 free relay squad that recorded the top time of the meet at 3:05.23.Â
Doo and the Black Knights will have off this weekend, but return to action on Oct. 27 when they open the home slate against UConn for a dual at Crandall Pool slated for noon. Â
