Swimming & Diving Earns Three Patriot League Weekly Awards

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army West Point swimming & diving claimed three of the six weekly awards up for grabs from the Patriot League after a week of strong performances from the Black Knights. Molly Webber and Johnny Crush earned the Patriot League Swimmer of the Week titles while Jack McDaniel earned the men's Diver of the Week title.
Crush earned a pair of individual wins and two relay second place finishes for Army against the Nittany Lions. As the leadoff for the men's 200 medley relay he helped Army finish second with a 1:24.97 before he logged a 45.41 in the 100 back to finish first.
Crush then put up a 1:44.23 in the 200 back to finish first and led Army off in the 400 free relay to finish second with a 2:53.87.
Molly Webber earned four first place finishes for the Black Knights to help them to a 170-125 win over Penn State with a 1:39.69 in the women's 200 medley relay to take first place.
Webber went on to claim first place in the women's 200 free with a 1:45.98 – replacing the program record she set just one week prior at Boston University and logging the first sub-1:46.00 time in the event in Army women's swimming & diving history.
As the meet wound down Webber added a first place finish in the women's 500 free with a 4:48.25 before helping Army claim first in the final women's event of the season with a 3:21.89 in the women's 400 free relay.
Jack McDaniel earned his first Patriot League Diver of the Week title of the season with two top three finishes against Penn State including a first-place finish on the three-meter board.
McDaniel tallied a score of 276.38 to finish third on the one-meter board before he earned first place on the three-meter board with a NCAA Diving Zone A Qualifying score of 320.03.
