Army Prepped to Duel with Mountain Hawks

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's swimming and diving team will compete for the first time in over a month when Lehigh ventures to Crandall Pool for a Patriot League dual meet scheduled for Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.

ARMY NOTABLES

Army is 1-2 in dual meets this season and last competed against service-academy rival Navy on Dec. 7.
The Black Knights fell 223-77 and were unable to pick up an event win against the Midshipmen.
Serica Hallstead placed second in the 1-meter (266.33) and 3-meter (276.08) dives.
The Black Knights lead the all-time series against the Mountain Hawks, 17-5.

LEHIGH NOTABLES

Lehigh is 5-1 on the season and has not lost a meet since Oct. 20. The Mountain Hawks have since rattled off four consecutive dual meet victories.
They are coming off a 244-50 win against archrival Lafayette, in which they swept all 16 events.
Ann Foley performed well, picking up wins in the 50, 100 and 200 free, while also swimming the second leg of the 800 free relay.
Megan Fennell led her team on the boards, placing first in the 1-meter (266.85) and 3-meter (268.42) dives.

WENDER'S WORDS

"Our team is focused and ready for the home stretch of the season," head coach Mickey Wender said. "We learned a lot during the first semester and have a lot of unfinished business to take care of. Our training camp in Florida was extremely productive in and out of the pool and sets us up nicely for the next few meets. Lehigh is a much improved and well-coached team. We're looking forward to some great races this evening."
