Army Begins Spring Slate at NJIT Invite

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's tennis team kicks off its 2018 spring slate at the NJIT Invite on Saturday and Sunday.
The two-day tournament will have four teams: Army, Fordham, NJIT and Rutgers.

ARMY (0-0, 0-0 Patriot League)
• The Black Knights are competing in their first event of the spring season.
• Rookie Hannah Boubel boasted a team-best 15-2 mark in singles action in the fall.
• Ana Joyner (10-4) and Melanie Allen (10-6) also reached double-digit wins during the first half of the season.
• Army's top doubles team of the fall was Boubel and Sasha Inchauste, who posted a record of 10-2.
THE FIELD
• Last season, NJIT was led by Nathalie Habegger's 16-12 mark in singles. She paired with Alba Rosas Garcia for a team-best 14-8 record in doubles.
• Fordham is led in singles play by Maia Balce and Estelle Wong, who are 8-3 and 8-5, respectively.
• Carina Ma and Wong are the Rams' best duo at 12-1 in doubles.
• Rutgers' top singles player this season has been Jaci Cochrane with a record of 9-5.
• Cochrane and Kat Muzik have each compiled five doubles victories in the fall.
