WEST POINT, N.Y. – Behind a three-goal outburst, the Army West Point men's soccer team was able to grab a 3-0 victory over Fairfield on Friday afternoon at Malek Stadium at Clinton Field.
With the win over the Stags, the Black Knights improved to 3-0 on the season, while Fairfield fell to 1-2. Sophomore Rex Epps scored in his third consecutive game, while fellow sophomore Keenan O'Shea added a goal of his own.

How it Happened
- It was a quiet first half as both teams combined for just five shots.
- Army broke through in the 38th minute once O'Shea dribbled the ball down the right side, made a move past the defender and curved it into the net off his left foot.
- The second half picked up offensively as Army put up 11 shots and Fairfield tallied seven.
- Within the first 22 minutes of the second stanza, Army took six shots, with two being denied and one hitting the post.
- In the 75th minute, Army added an insurance goal after O'Shea sent the ball into the box and Epps tapped it into net to put the Black Knights up by two.
- Just over a minute later, Epps found the back of the net again, this time off a pass from Shaban Abousaud to make it a three-goal game and seal the victory for Army.
