Army will Face Boston U and Lehigh

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's tennis team will travel to Bethlehem, Pa., to face off against Boston U on Saturday and Lehigh on Sunday. Â
The Black Knights enter the weekend with an overall record of 16-8 and 4-0 in Patriot League play.

LAST TIME OUT
Last weekend the Black Knights went 2-0 against non-league opponents. In their first match they faced Binghamton where they collected a 6-1 victory. Michael Nguyen and Grant Riechmann started the scoring with a 6-1 victory at No. 1 doubles. David Mitchell and Michael SIenko sealed the doubles point with a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles.

Nguyen continued to stay hot in singles securing a 7-6, 7-6 at the No. 1 flight. Sam Lampman tacked on another point at the No. 2 slot with a 6-2, 6-3 win. Riechmann added another point with a 7-6 (11-9), 6-0 victory. The final points came from Myles Conlin (6-1, 3-6, 6-3) and Nikita Pereverzin (4-6, 6-3, 6-2).

In the second match of the weekend, the Cadets started scoring with a 7-6 win at No. 1 doubles, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles and 6-2 at the No. 3 slot. In singles, Riechmann collected a 6-2, 6-0 win at the No. 3 position. Conlin added another point with a 6-3, 6-0 victory at the No. 4 slot and Sienko collected the final point with a 6-1, 6-0 domination. Â
SCOUTING BOSTON U (7-13, 1-0 PL)
Last weekend, the Terriers picked up a 3-4 loss against Connecticut. The three points came from Jay Leelavanich (7-5, 6-0) at the No. 2 slot, Mario Sandoval (6-0, 6-4) at the No. 4 position and J.P. Avila (6-4, 6-3) at the No. 5 flight. Last year the Black Knights picked up a 4-1 victory over Boston U.

SCOUTING LEHIGH (4-10, 2-1 PL)
The Mountain Hawks collected two conference wins last weekend. In a 6-1 victory over Loyola, Lehigh picked up the first point in the doubles round. It also collected singles points at the first, second, third, fifth and sixth flights. The Mountain Hawks also collected a 6-0 sweep over Colgate. Â

UP NEXT:Â The Black Knights will return home to host rival Navy on April 15th. This will also be the Cadets senior day with competition starting at 1 p.m.
