Army Set to Close Out Home Slate

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's tennis team will host its final two matches of the season this weekend as Lehigh and Boston University come to West Point.
The Black Knights will face Lehigh Thursday at 6 p.m., while squaring off against the Terriers on Saturday at 9 a.m. Army will honor its three seniors prior to Saturday's match.
ARMY (16-6, 4-0 Patriot League)
• Army is 28-2 versus Lehigh and 0-13 against Boston U.
• The Black Knights dropped a 4-3 decision against Rhode Island on Tuesday, snapping a nine-match winning streak.
• Melanie Allen was recently named the Patriot League Female Tennis Player of the Week after guiding Army to a 5-2 victory over service-academy rival Navy.
• Allen won in the top flight of both singles and doubles against the Mids.
• Kirby Einck leads the team with 18 singles victories, while Allyson Hayley's 19 doubles wins is first on Army.
LEHIGH (7-6, 3-1 Patriot League)
• Lehigh enters the weekend on a three-match winning streak after defeating league opponents Loyola, Colgate and Bucknell 7-0.
• Christina Auyeung and Siben Can lead the Mountain Hawks with eight singles victories in the top two spots.
• Can/Leigh Friedman and Cassidy Cruz/Grace Lin each sport an even record of 6-6 in doubles matches, including a 2-1 mark in Patriot League contests.
BOSTON U. (7-9, 2-0 Patriot League)
• The Terriers lost their last match on the road to Connecticut, 6-1.
• In Patriot League action, BU defeated Navy, 4-3, and Holy Cross, 7-0, entering the weekend as the only team besides Army with a spotless record in league play.
• Remi Ramos leads the Terriers with 13 singles victories, playing primarily in the third flight.
• In doubles, the team of Sabrina Faybyshev/Barbara Rodriguez sport a team-best 6 wins.
• Individually, Faybyshev leads BU with 11 doubles victories.
