HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bucknell opened the game with a 3-0 run before the Black Knights could get on the board.
- Army then scored two straight with both goals coming from Hornick. The first was assisted by Jollota, while the second was setup by Stewart who won the draw control.
- The Bison would go on to score three more to bring the score to 6-2 in its favor with 7:30 to go in the half.
- An unassisted goal by Cortes would give the Black Knights some momentum going into the second half after taking an iso from the left wing.
- She would then skim the pipe, but Johnston found Hornick in front for a quick stick goal with 1:31 left to close the half at 6-4 in favor of Bucknell.
- Army continued its hot streak into the second with a quick goal 2:20 in when Johnston assisted Scott. This brought the Cadets within one, but three more by the Bison kept Army at bay.
- At the 20:53 minute mark, Dworschak found Cortes with a quick pass into the eight. Cortes then scored the next goal three minutes later off a free position attempt.
- The Bison clipped its 17:22 minute dry spell with a goal with 6:30 left on the clock and added another goal 2:30 later.
- Cortes struck again when she connected with Johnston to bring the score to 11-8, still in favor of Bucknell.
- The Bison would keep the Black Knights off the score for the remainder of the game.
TURNING POINT
- Army staged a comeback in the second half and held Bucknell scoreless for 17:22 minutes of the half. The Bison's goal with 6:30 left in the game gave them a 10-7 lead to pull away from the Black Knights.
