Porter Cracks Top-10 in Shutout Victory Over SLU

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's tennis team captured its ninth win of the season with a 7-0 shutout victory over Southeastern Louisiana Thursday afternoon at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center.
The Black Knights improved to 9-5 on the season, while the Lions dropped to 3-3.

- Army improved to 1-1 in the all-time series against the Lions in the two sides' first meeting since 1997.

- Senior co-captain Nancy Porter entered Army's top-10 list for career victories in both singles and doubles action.
- The Amarillo, Texas, native now has 68 singles wins in her career, which ties Amanda Paluch for 10th, and 72 doubles victories, which ties Robie Verano for the No. 10 spot.
- Sophomores Genevieve McCormick and Melanie Allen both earned their 10th singles victories of the season.
- Senior co-captain Allyson Hayley, freshman Gloria Son, Porter and McCormick all notched their fifth dual singles victories of the spring.
- Sophomore Kirby Einck, Porter and Son each improved to a team-best 13 singles wins on the season today.
- Hayley continued to pace the Black Knights in doubles with her 15th decision of the year.
- Allen improved to 9-2 in doubles dual play on the season to lead the team, while her partner, Porter, documented her fifth top-flight doubles victory of the year.
