Parsons’ Season Ends at NCAA Championships

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Army West Point senior wrestler Russ Parsons saw his senior campaign come to an end in the second round of the consolation bracket of the NCAA Championships on Friday.
Parsons was the final remaining cadet-athlete in the tournament.

- Parsons completed his career with an overall record of 82-31, 23-5 in duals, and earned 34 bonus-point victories on seven pins, 13 technical falls and 14 major decisions.
- The Clinton, N.J., native posted a personal-best .788 win percentage as a senior after going 27-6.
- He also recorded personal-bests in dual wins (nine), technical falls (seven) and bonus-point wins (15) this season.
- Parsons earned his first-career victory at the NCAA Championships yesterday with an 8-1 decision over Mike D'Angelo of Princeton.
- Five of Army's eight losses on the weekend were by two or fewer points.
