The Black Knights Complete Play out West

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's tennis team will continue its tour of the West Coast over spring break with its final two matches over the next two days.
Tuesday, the Black Knight will face off against Saint Mary's of California at 5 p.m. ET, followed by UC Santa Clara on Wednesday at 6 p.m. ET.
The Cadets enter the match with a record of 10-6 on the season.
LAST TIME OUT
The Cadets swept UC Santa Cruz 7-0.
The scoring started with a three flight sweep in the doubles. No. 1 flight Michael Nguyen and Grant Riechmann had a 6-4 victory. Sam Lampman and Gregory Shannon won 6-2 at the No. 2 slot. At the No. 3 position David Mitchell and Michael Sienko had a 6-2 victory.
In singles Nguyen continued his success with a 6-1, 6-1 win at first singles. Lampman at the No. 2 flight had a 6-3, 6-3 victory. Riechmann had a 6-3, 6-4 victory at the No. 3 flight, while Myles Conlin collected a 6-3, 6-3 victory in the No. 4 slot. The freshman duo of Nikita Pereverzin (4-6, 7-6 (10-8)) and Anant Mundra (6-4, 6-2) rounded out the wins in the fifth and sixth positions, respectfully.
SCOUTING SAINT MARY'S OF CALIF. (4-7)
In their last outings the Gaels fell to New Mexico State 4-1 in the Golden State Invitational. Saint Mary's of California captured the doubles points before falling in all four singles points.
SCOUTING UC SANTA CLARA (8-2, 0-1 WCC)
The Broncos last competed on March 4th, where they fell to BYU 4-2. UC Santa Clara dropped the doubles points but tried to make a comeback in singles. They picked up points at the No. two and No. three flights.
UP NEXT
The Black Knights will return home and take a week off before starting league play by hosting Holy Cross, Loyola, Bucknell and Lafayette over the weekend.
