Army Hosts Bryant, Stony Brook and NJIT

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's tennis team is hosting Bryant, Stony Brook and NJIT this weekend at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center.

The action will kick off on Saturday at 9 a.m., against Bryant, while the two contests on Sunday against Stony Brook and NJIT will take place at 9 a.m., and 5 p.m., respectfully.

The Black Knights enter the match with a record of 4-6 on the season.

LAST TIME OUT
Army split the weekend with a win over Air Force, 4-1, and a loss to Michigan State, 6-1.

The Black Knights started the weekend against Big Ten opponent Michigan State with the lone point coming from Myles Conlin in the number six singles position by a score of 6-3, 6-2.
The win against Air Force started with a sweep in the doubles category. Michael Nguyen and Grant Riechmann won the number one spot 6-3, while Myles Conlin and Nikita Pereverzin were victorious at the number three spot by a score of 6-4.
In singles the Cadets pulled out a win at number one from Michael Nguyen (6-4, 6-4), the number two spot with Sam Lampman (6-4, 6-1) and Grant Riechmann in number three singles (7-6, 6-3). Air Force's long point came from the number six singles where Mack Galvin defeated Nikita Pereverzin 6-3, 6-0.
SCOUTING BRYANT
The Bulldogs have started the spring season with an overall record of 4-4. Last weekend Bryant picked up a win at home against Navy by a score of 5-2. Their points came from the doubles competitions as well as the number one, two, three and four singles.

SCOUTING STONY BROOK
The Seawolves are just starting their spring campaign. Last Saturday, they collected a victory over Lehigh with a 5-2 decision. Stony Brook's points came from its doubles match-ups as well as four singles victories.

SCOUTING NJIT
The Highlanders spring season has them sporting a 2-1 overall record. Last weekend NJIT swept Bucknell, 7-0. Their big victories came at number one doubles with a 6-4 win and at number one and two singles by sets of 6-2, 7-5 and 6-3, 6-3, respectively.
