Cadets Take Part in Hayt Invitational

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point golf team will participate in the Hayt Invitational Friday through Sunday.
The three day event is hosted by North Florida and will kick off Friday at 8:30 a.m.

Last year at the Hayt Invitational the Black Knights placed 11th, scoring 898 (+34) on the weekend. Dean Sakata sported the low score for Army during the invite, finishing 6 over.
The Black Knights set an Academy record with their win over Florida Atlantic last Monday. The team shot 17 under par and defeated the Owls, 261-285. Nick Turner also set an individual Academy record shooting 8 under par for total score of 64 points.Â

TOURNAMENT FORMAT:Â Three-day, 54-hole event (18 holes each day, fixed tee times)
TOURNAMENT FIELD (15 teams):Â #31 Jacksonville, #33 Liberty, #36 North Florida, #45 UCLA, #49 UCF, #62 Tennessee, #65 North Texas, #75 Louisville, #80 Campbell, #85 UAB, #92 East Carolina, #98 Coastal Carolina, Furman, Army and Navy.
