WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's basketball team is back on the road this weekend, when it travels to Washington, D.C., to face American on Saturday, Jan. 11 at 2 p.m.

Army makes the trip to the nation's capital to face American for the second time this season, after coming away with a narrow 53-51 win over the Eagles at West Point on Jan. 15.
Juniors Janae McNeal and Aliyah Murray, and sophomore Madison Hovren all posted double-doubles last time out against Colgate to mark the first time three Army players notched double-doubles in the same game since Anna Simmers (USMA '13), Olivia Schretzman (USMA '15), and Aimee Oertner (USMA '16) did so against Fairleigh Dickinson on Nov. 15, 2012.
McNeal leads all current Army players with 11.0 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game in three career outings against American.
THE ARMY-AMERICAN SERIES
American holds an 18-17 lead against Army in an all-time series that began on Dec. 31, 1996. The Black Knights have won three straight in the rivalry and have wins in eight of the last 10 meetings. Army is 6-10 versus American at Bender Arena.
ARMY (17-6, 8-4 PATRIOT LEAGUE)
• Army came back from an 11-point deficit to win for the second time this season, with a 57-47 victory over Colgate on Wednesday.
• McNeal notched season highs of 17 points and 11 rebounds, including the last seven points of the contest, to lead the Black Knights.
• The Black Knights trailed, 24-13, with 7:05 remaining in the second quarter and cut their deficit to two points by halftime. Army was down two, 42-40, at the end of the third quarter, but outscored Colgate, 17-5, in the fourth quarter to come away with the victory.
AMERICAN (11-12, 8-4 PATRIOT LEAGUE)
• American fell to a 71-62 defeat at Boston University on Wednesday to snap a season-long three-game winning streak for the Eagles.
• Cecily Carl paced American with 19 points and nine rebounds in the setback, while Elina Koskimies added nine points off the bench.
• American leads the Patriot League with a 43.5 field goal percentage, but made just 35.0 percent of its shots in the loss to Boston University.
