Black Knights Poised for Star Meet

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's swimming and diving team is back in the pool this Thursday for the annual Star Meet against service-academy rival Navy scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. at Lejeune Hall in Annapolis, Md.
It will be just the third dual meet this season for the Black Knights, but the team is coming off a convincing first-place showing at the Terrier Invitational on Nov. 19.
Swimming and diving will be the first winter sport at Army to battle it out against Navy for a star this season. Army currently leads Navy in the Star Series, 5-2.

- The Black Knights broke five academy records and one plebe record at last year's meeting with Navy.
- Kara Wineinger, Cecelia Croman, Jenna Forrester and Josephine Marsh all set Academy records at the meet and are back for another showdown with Navy.
- In its last outing, Army collected a meet-best 913 points to beat out the seven other competing schools at the Terrier Invitational.
- For her standout performance at the Terrier Invitational, Serica Hallstead was named the Patriot League Diver of the Week.
- Navy comes into Thursday's meet with an unbeaten record and finished first at the three-day Frank Elm Invite in Piscataway, N.J., from Nov. 17-19.
- The Midshipmen defeated Army 194-106 in last year's Star Meet.

PARKING INFORMATION
- Parking on The Yard is limited to those vehicles driven by someone with a Department of Defense identification card. All others must either park outside of the USNA and walk through the gate one visitors center or park at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium (blue side, by the Blue Angel jet) to ride the free shuttle bus (3:30-8:30 p.m.). A government issued ID card (drivers license) must be displayed by everyone age 18 and over before they will be allowed through the gates whether they are walking or taking the shuttle bus. Those ages 17 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
