BOSTON – The Army West Point men's swim and dive team finished day one of the Terrier Invitational on Friday night in the top spot with 313.5 points at the Competition Pool on the campus of Boston U.
The Black Knights are being battled closely by Boston College (306) and UMass (262). Boston U., with 204.5 followed while Bridgeport (57) and Colgate (56) rounded out the top-six.

ARMY NOTABLES
- Brandon McCredie, Nate Hein, Hogan Harper and Evin Rude got things started for the Black Knights with a first-place showing in the 200 free relay.
- Tom Ottman then dove into the water and captured first in the 500 free at 4:27.26.
- Rude (20.89) and McCredie (20.90) finished back-to-back in third and fourth, respectively, in the 50 free.
- Army claimed the final relay of the day when Josh Sembrano, Ty Dang, Kevin Doo and Rude swam to a time of 3:20.89 in the 200 medley relay.
- Hudson Kay won the one-meter dive with a score of 297.85.

- "The guys got off to a slow start but rallied well to take a narrow lead going into day two," head coach Mickey Wender said. "It was great for our guys to win both relays tonight and the day was highlighted by Hudson Kay's diving win and Tom Ottman's hard-fought victory on the outside in the 500 free."
