Army Looks to Bounce Back at St. Francis Brooklyn

WEST POINT, N.Y. – For the second time in a week, the Army West Point women's basketball team will be pinned against a Northeast Conference opponent when the Black Knights travel to Brooklyn for a meeting with St. Francis Brooklyn slated for Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Pope Physical Education Center.

• Army is 1-1 to start the season after picking up a 73-61 victory over Binghamton before falling to Fairleigh Dickinson, 58-56, on the road.

• Army will need to improve from beyond-the-arc and at the charity stripe if they want to bounce back against the Terriers. As a team, the Black Knights made just two of their 13 attempts from deep and shot 54 percent from the free throw line in their last outing.

• St. Francis Brooklyn returns eight players from last year's squad that finished the season with an 8-22 overall record and 6-12 conference mark.
• In the loss to St. John's in the 2017-18 season opener, Alex Delaney, one of the Terriers' top scorers from last season, led the squad with 11 points, four rebounds, four assists, two blocks and a steal.
• Despite connecting on just 30 percent of their shots, the Terriers did find success from long range, making seven 3-pointers.
