WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point volleyball team cruised past Colgate Friday night in a 3-0 victory at home.

ARMY HIGHLIGHTS AND MATCH NOTES
- The Black Knights led for the entire match. Colgate was not able to tie or claim a lead over the Black Knights.
- Amber Clay led Army with 11 kills on 21 attempts for a .476 hitting percentage.
- Courtney Horace recorded 10 kills for her second double-digit kill match of the season.
- Carolyn Bockrath also notched eight kills, while Sydney Morriss had seven. Vanessa Wesley notched five kills while her and Morriss each had seven block assists.
- Nikki Lum and Haven Bethune each had 15 assists on the night and Ana Oglivie had a team-high 12 digs.
- Lum and Clay added nine digs of their own in the match.
- As a team, Army led with 11 blocks to Colgate's seven.
HOW IT HAPPENED
SET ONE (25-14 Army)
- Army led took a 5-0 lead to force an early Colgate timeout.
- The Black Knights recorded five blocks in the first set alone.
- Wesley, Morriss and Bockrath each had three kills in the set.
SET TWO (25-16 Army)
- The Black Knights continued to excel in the second set with a .414 hitting percentage.
- Army had another five blocks in the second set.
- Horace came in and posted five kills to lead the Black Knights in the second frame.
- Oglivie recorded five digs in the set as well.
SET THREE (25-22 Army)
- Colgate fought back in the third set with 11 team kills, but Army recorded 17 to clinch the three-set victory.
- Clay boasted six kills in the final set and Horace had four.
- Oglivia and Clay each had service aces in the set and Lum led the way in digs with five.

- Army will travel to Holy Cross for a Sunday afternoon match at 2 p.m.
