Black Knights Top Lehigh on Friday Night
January 06, 2017 | Women's Swimming and Diving
WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's swimming and diving team defeated Lehigh, 170-128, Friday night at Crandall Pool.
The victory marked the Black Knights' first Patriot League win of the season.
COACHES CORNER
"I thought it was a good start to the last part of our season", said head coach Mickey Wender. " We swam tough coming out of a big, 10-day training camp in Florida. We haven't backed off one bit. We've been putting in a lot of work and the team responded really well in the meet. I give a lot of credit to a tough, well-coached Lehigh team that knows how to put their hand on the wall. I was really pleased with how our women rallied in the back half of the meet. They were up just 11 points but were able to put some distance on Lehigh down the stretch.
