LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Army West Point women's swimming and diving team bested Bucknell, 163-137, on Saturday afternoon.

They did a tremendous job of pulling away in the second half of the meet for a great victory," said head coach Mickey Wender. "The girls were able to swim really hard and won a lot of the close races. This win sets us up well for not only our multiple meets coming up in the next week, but also the conference championships.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS

Sabrina Mortell finished first in the 1000-yard freestyle in 10:26.67.
Kelly Hamilton took the top spot in the 100-yard backstroke, swimming the event in a time of 56.40 seconds.
Hamilton and Monica Sowinski went 1-2 in the 100-yard freestyle with respective times of 51.90 seconds and 52.57 seconds.
Kara Wineinger edged-out a first-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke with a mark of 1:06.03.
Nneka Pilgrim recorded a narrow victory in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.40 seconds.
In the one-meter diving event, Serica Hallstead scored 239.18 points to claim the top spot. Hallstead also took the top spot in the three-meter dive with a final score of 265.50.
