Coaches Comments
"Kenneth Brinson had some good throws in the weight. He is a special talent. To think that a couple of weeks ago he was helping the football team win that bowl game and now here today he is right in the mix in a technical event speaks to both his competitive nature and his special ability. He will just get better and better with repetition. We had some other nice runs on the oval from our middle-distance guys and they will be back at it tomorrow. All in all, our guys got out of their comfort zone today and put up some good marks."

Coaches Comments
- Mike Smith - Director of Track and Field/Cross Country "We scheduled this meet so that our men would have to rise to a higher competitive level to be successful and almost across the board today we saw guys doing exactly that. We had guys fighting to make a final in the field events and guys running strong personal bests on the track. We scored points in almost every event we entered. Ross Purity had a nice race in the hurdles and I think there is more to come from him in the coming weeks. Ben Sims' third place finish in the 60-meter dash was strong and his time of 6.76 is only one one-hundredth off of his school record. He also had some nice jumps in the long jump and is starting to put things together there."
