OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. - The Army West Point golf team completed round two with a team score of +52 at the OFCC/Fighting Illini Invitational hosted by Illinois at Olympia Fields Country Club.

Illinois continued to lead after the second round at-6, while Texas A&M (+15) and Oklahoma State (+17) rounded out the top three.

"This golf course is unbelievable and the competition has been tremendous," assistant coach LTC Chad Bagley stated. "Peter Kim had a great day and it was good to see him play to his potential."

"This venue will punish you if you're a little bit off of the teeing ground, and that's where we struggled today. We are really proud of the effort and focus by our team, and are looking forward to competing tomorrow at this venue against some great teams. "
ARMY HIGHLIGHTS AND ROUND NOTES
The final round will begin on Sunday at Olympia Fields Country Club. Army West Point will be teeing off with Northwestern and Arizona State from 9:30-10 a.m.

ARMY HIGHLIGHTS AND ROUND NOTES
- Peter Kim carded an even-par 70 to lead the Black Knights, as he tallied three birdies during his round.
- Additionally, Justin Pagila and Matt Plunkett each shot an eight-over-par 78 to finish behind Kim.
- Through two rounds, hole No. 11 played the easiest, as there have been 42 birdies and only 24 bogeys through 36 holes.
- Meanwhile, hole No. 9 continued to be the hardest to play, with just 11 birdies, 58 bogeys and 17 double-bogeys made over the two rounds.
The final round will begin on Sunday at Olympia Fields Country Club. Army West Point will be teeing off with Northwestern and Arizona State from 9:30-10 a.m.
