ARMY HIGHLIGHTS AND MATCH NOTES
- This morning's win puts Army on a 4-0 streak with all matches being decided in three-straight sets.
- Clay and Olivia Fairfield notched 11 kills apiece, while Strong finished with 10. Sydney Morris and Vanessa Wesley were also impressive on the net with nine and six kills each.
- Fairfield led the squad with a .550 hitting percentage and Morriss followed suit by posting a .471. Haven Bethune dished out 29 assists in the match and added three digs.
- Megan Bryn and Strong notched 11 digs for the Black Knights as Wesley tallied five blocks.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first set featured a lot of back-and-forth action between the two squads with nine tie scores and three lead changes, the most of any set in the match.
- The Black Knights were sitting comfortable on a 17-12 lead, but seven unanswered points by the Blue Devils gave them a 19-17 lead over Army.
- A three point run by the Cadets regained their lead by one (20-19). CCSU put the match in the deadlock at points 20 and 22 before Army could break away to win 25-22. Morriss and Wesley closed-out the set with two of the three final points.
- Set two featured much of the same of the first set. Army earned a point off a bizarre play when the ball hit off a player's foot to keep it alive, Fairfield dove to save it and send it over the net then was able to get up and block it for an Army tally.
- The Black Knights reached the 20-point mark first, but another rally by the Blue Devils brought the set within one again (22-21). Strong, Morriss and Fairfield joined together to put the Cadets ahead 2-1 in the match.
- With the third set tied at 8-all, Army went on a 4-1 run to take a 12-9 lead. CCSU put up a fight, but the Black Knights charged ahead to win the set and the match in three. Just like yesterday's match against Hartford, Army's Clay closed-out the match with the game-winning point.
