Women’s Rugby Continues Postseason at Brown

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's rugby team is looking to improve upon its fifth-place finish at last weekend's Quinnipiac 7s tournament at the Brown tournament on Saturday.

The Black Knights went 3-2 last weekend in Hamden, Conn. After a 32-0 victory over Norwich, a pair of setbacks to Harvard and AIC pushed Army into the consolation bracket. A 37-0 decision over West Chester propelled the Cadets into the consolation finals where they topped Dartmouth, 24-0.
Senior Lindy Clark led the way offensively, scoring 22 points on four tries and a conversion. The Seneca, S.C., native contributed 15 points in the win over the Golden Rams. Becca Stipp also dotted down three times against Norwich.
Army will open the tournament against Quinnipiac, who won last week's tournament, at 12:40 before its rematch with Norwich at 2:20. The Black Knights will conclude the preliminary round of the tournament against Dartmouth at 3:40 p.m., with the semifinals starting at 4:40. The championship match is scheduled for 5:20 p.m.
