PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Army West Point women's rugby team went 2-1-1 in its second tournament of the spring at Brown University on Saturday.
"I thought our performance this week was a step up from what it was last week," said head coach Bill LeClerc. "Our shape defensively was a lot better this week. We worked together well on that side of the ball."
The Black Knights opened with a tie against Quinnipiac, 10-10 with tries from Sydney DeWees and Tranelle Patterson. They responded with a 39-0 win over Norwich with a balanced effort. DeWees, Mackenzie Garner and Zye Crittington all contributed two tries, while Megan Rogers added a try and a conversion. Lindy Clark added her name to the scoresheet with a conversion.
