REGULAR SEASON SUMMARY
Army finished the regular season with a 19-5 overall record. Paul Peck earned his 400th career win in the regular season finale, a 5-2 victory over Lehigh.
Senior Carolyn Pitman has held down the top position for the Black Knights this season. She owns a 7-4 record in the spring, all coming in the top flight. The West Chester, Ohio, native is tied for seventh in school history in career wins at No. 1 with 19 but has lost her last three matches.
Pitman pairs with freshman Kirby Einck in doubles. The two won their first 13 doubles matches to open the spring and currently stand 14-2. Einck has also settled in nicely to the singles line-up where she has won 11 of her last 12.
Two other freshman have become mainstays in the Black Knights lineup. Rugile Valuniate and Genevieve McCormick are slated to play in the second and third positions at the conference championships. Valuniate, who has only played in the first or second flight, is 7-8 during the spring but has won four of her last five matches. McCormick has gained experience quickly, playing in a team-high 19 dual matches. Her record stands at 11-8.
