Women's Swim & Dive Jumps Ahead of Navy at ECACs

DAY TWO RESULTS
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Army West Point women's swimming and diving team had a standout day at the ECAC Championships enabling the Black Knights to move up to second at the meet and jump ahead of Navy. The Cadets have amassed 264 points, while Navy has 245.5.
In the 200 medley relay, Cecelia Croman, Kara Wineinger, Molly Mucciarone and Kelly Hamilton placed second with a time of 1:42.94.
Mucciarone was Army's top finisher in the 100 fly. She placed fifth in 54.48, while Hamilton won the consolation final in 56.44.
Jess Burkett finished sixth in the 400 IM after touching the wall in 4:22.66. In the 200 free, Monica Sowinski recorded a time of 1:53.71 to place eighth. Sabrina Mortell finished the event in 1:53.71 to win the consolation final and was followed by Julia Bush (1:52.57) who was 12th.
Margaret Ireland competed for Army in the 100 breast and clocked an 11th place time of 1:06.35. Croman finished fifth in the 100 back with a time of 55.91. Bailey Smith won the consolation final in 56.83.
Mortell, Evans, Sowinski and Bush finished the night off with a fourth-place finish in the 800 free relay where the Black Knights finished in 7:32.59.
The Black Knights will be back in action tomorrow for the final day of the ECAC Championships.
