Women's Swim & Dive Finishes Third at ECACs

FINAL RESULTS
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Army West Point women's swimming and diving team finished third at the ECAC Championships Sunday after the final day of competition. Virginia led the pack with 751.5 points and was followed by Navy (413.5) and Army (390).
"This was a little bittersweet," said head coach Mickey Wender. "I really enjoyed this team and we had a fun and productive year. We had great accomplishments and made some big improvements as a team. I thought the ECAC meet was a fitting conclusion. We had a lot of personal bests and I know our athletes had a great experience. I especially enjoyed working with this group of seniors, they helped us move the program to the next level. The best is yet to come."
Sabrina Mortell placed fourth in the 1,650 free for the Black Knights with a time of 17:00.91. Ana Marie Bistrow (17:08.41) and Claire Willis (17:23.69) followed in sixth and 11th, respectively.
Cecelia Croman was Army's top finisher in the 200 back. She touched the wall in 2:03.46 to place seventh, while Sidney Evans (2:05.01) was 11th.
In the 100 free, Kelly Hamilton placed fifth after finishing in 50.76. Jenna Forrester (51.95) and Bailey Smith (52.73) were 12th and 16th in the event for the Cadets.
Jess Burkett touched the wall fourth in the 200 breast with a time of 2:21.01. Molly Mucciarone (2:07.61) and Chloe Kargodorian (2:09.35) placed 13th and 16th in the 200 fly, respectively.
Army concluded the weekend with a second-place finish in the 400 free relay. The team of Kelly Hamilton, Forrester, Bush and Monica Sowinski finished in 3:25.36.
