STORYLINES
Following their off week, the Black Knights are entered into events on the final two days of the three-day Patriot League meet. Army placed sixth at the event, including a pair of individual champions, last season.
The Black Knights' last competition was a thrilling 91-90 victory over service academy rival Navy on the road. At the meet, a pair of Army-Navy records were broken. Sophomore Meagan Hilla leapt her way into the record books as her 1.74m high jump not only broke former Cadet Kim Seminiano's meet record at 1.73m set in 1989, but also puts her second on Army's all-time list. Additionally, the 4x400 relay team of Haley Winters, Cassie Mundekis, Whidney Desormo and Sydney Hawkins posted a time of 3:53.94, breaking Navy's record from 2012 by two seconds.
ARMY AT THE PATRIOT LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Army captured its first four Patriot League Championship titles from 1994 through 1997. Since then, the Black Knights' best finish has been second, which they have achieved five times. Their most recent runner-up status came in 2006. The past two years have yielded a sixth-place finish. In 2014, a fourth-place finish garnered Track Athlete of the Meet and Scholar Athlete of the Year honors to Lisa Junta, the only time Army has taken multiple individual awards.
