Army Set for St. Francis Brooklyn and Wagner

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's basketball team closes out its three-game homestand with two games over the next three days. The Black Knights face St. Francis Brooklyn on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 1 p.m. before playing host to Wagner on Monday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m.

Army and St. Francis Brooklyn are set to meet for the eighth year in a row, and for the 15th time overall, as the Cadets hold a 12-2 record in an all-time series dating back to 1990-91. Army won last season's matchup, 74-35, in Brooklyn Heights, N.Y.

Army and Wagner have played eight times, with the Black Knights leading the series 5-3. The sides last met in the 2012-13 season opener to cap a stretch of five consecutive season openers between the Black Knights and the Seahawks. Army earned a 65-62 victory in Staten Island, N.Y., to begin the 2012-13 campaign.

• Army improved its winning streak to four games, with an 86-58 win over Fairleigh Dickinson on Nov. 28.
• Sophomore Madison Hovren earned Patriot League Player of the Week honors on Monday and led the Black Knights with 23 points and 13 rebounds for her second straight double-double in the Fairleigh Dickinson contest.
• Juniors Daizjah Morris (14 points) and Janae McNeal (12 points), and sophomore Jess Lewis (10 points) also reached double figures.
• Hovren leads the Patriot League with 20.2 points per game and ranks second in the conference with 9.2 rebounds per game.

• St. Francis Brooklyn dropped its fourth straight contest on Wednesday, with a 78-63 home loss to Howard.
• Olivia Levey finished with 15 points on 7-of-12 shooting, while Alex Delaney added four points and a team-leading 11 rebounds.
• Levey (12.7 points per game) and Maria Palarino (11.3 points per game) are both averaging double figures this season for the Terriers.

• Wagner fell to a 66-52 defeat against Yale on Wednesday to slip to 1-5 on the year.
• The Seahawks were paced by Julia McClure, who came one rebound shy of a double-double, with 15 points and nine boards.
