WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army West Point women's swimming and diving team fell to Columbia and Penn on Friday night at Crandall Pool.
The Black Knights lost, 190-110 to Columbia, and 203-97 to Penn.
Today was a great learning experience, and we're disappointed in the outcome, but we know we're better than what we showed today," head coach Mickey Wender said. "We will learn and improve for the next meet. We're disappointed, but we understand what we need to do to get to the next level."
In the 100 backstroke, Kelly Hamilton recorded a second-place finish with a time of 56.64 seconds. The senior also took second in the 50 freestyle with a clocking of 23.84 seconds.
Kara Wineinger touched the wall second in 1:05.76 in the 100 breaststroke, while Josephine Marsh swam the 200 backstroke in 2:04.60, just under two seconds behind first-place finisher Julia Samson of Columbia.
The Black Knights will be back in action Nov. 18-20, as they compete in the Terrier Invite hosted by Boston University.
