Women's Swim and Dive Preps for Terrier Invite
November 17, 2016 | Women's Swimming and Diving
BOSTON, MASS. – The Army West Point women's swimming and diving team travels to Boston University to compete in the Terrier Invite this weekend from Nov. 18-20.
The Black Knights will be competing against Boston University, Boston College, Bridgeport, Fairfield, New Hampshire, UMass and Vermont.
COACHES CORNER
"Our expectation is to compete hard," said head coach Mickey Wender. " It's a great opportunity for our whole team, but especially our plebes, as this will be their first time going through a three-day championship schedule.
"We've learned a lot from our last time competing, and it's added an extra dimension and intensity to our training that we will carry with us for the rest of the season."
"Our goal is to go up there and to swim fast, and learn the best way to go through a championship format. We're excited to have the chance to compete against some very good teams in the Northeast."
LAST TIME OUT
The Black Knights look to rebound after tri-meet losses against Columbia and Penn at Crandall Pool two weeks ago.
In the 100 backstroke, Kelly Hamilton recorded a second-place finish with a time of 56.64 seconds. The senior also took second in the 50 freestyle with a clocking of 23.84 seconds.
Results will be posted each day with a recap of notable times and results.
