Coaches Comments:
"We are heading to the NCAA Regional, which is our first 10K meet of the year, and we have been preparing for this. I think that it will be something that our guys are ready to handle and tackle. We are going back to Van Cortlandt Park for this 10K where we competed earlier in the year, and we ran pretty well when we went down there. That is a part of the reason that we competed in the Iona "Meet of Champions", we wanted to compete at the site of our regional championships and we now know the course so there is familiar territory there."
Â
"We have competed quite a bit against the teams that we are going to face. There are approximately 40 teams in this field, and our guys are used to running in races with a big field of competitors, so I don't think that will be an issue. We are running some of our freshman so it will be interesting to see how they respond to 10K versus 8K. They have done a great job in training, and I think that we will be competitive in the 40 team field."
UP NEXT:
Qualifying athletes will travel to Terre Haute, Ind., for the NCAA Championships on Nov. 19.
