Army Travels to Yale for ITA Regionals

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's tennis team will spend its final weekend of the fall season at the ITA Regionals, hosted by Yale, from Oct. 20-24.

Nancy Porter, Melanie Allen, Rugile Valiunaite and Genevieve McCormick will each need to qualify for the main draw by winning two singles matches on Thursday. Kirby Einck is the only Black Knight to earn an automatic qualification for singles. Teams of Einck and Allyson Hayley and Valiunaite and Porter will compete in the doubles tournament.

Last weekend, the Black Knights were at Lehigh's Patriot League Kickoff where they competed in six championship matches. Freshman Steph Johnson captured both of Army's titles in the #3 Singles and #2 doubles with fellow rookie Gloria Son.
