Cadets Face Holy Cross for Mid-Week Tilt

WEST POINT, N.Y. – After spending the past two weeks on the road, the Army West Point volleyball team returns to Gillis Field House for a home match against Holy Cross on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.

- Army improved to 14-8 overall and 6-2 in the Patriot League over the weekend with wins over Bucknell (3-0) and Lehigh (3-1).
- Head coach Alma Kovaci Lee captured the 200th win of her career today and her 14th of the season. She is the only head coach in Army volleyball history that has eclipsed 200 wins other than Bob Gambardella who totaled 325 in his 13-year career.
- Allie Strong led the Black Knights offensively with 4.14 kills per set over the two matches. She hit .714 on Friday for a career-high hitting percentage and added six service aces across the weekend.
- Carolyn Bockrath leads the Cadets with a .385 hitting percentage. She totals 2.78 points per set just behind Strong who posts 3.25 a game and Vanessa Wesley who averages 3.16.
- Haven Bethune averages 8.94 assists per set to lead the team. The freshman has dished out 581 assists this season and has also added 14 service aces.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Holy Cross enters the mid-week tilt against Army with a 4-15, 2-6 PL mark.
- The Crusaders are coming off a 3-0 win over the Bison.
- Mandy Sifferlen leads the league for the second year in a row with 4.92 kills per set.
